About Western Pipe Fabrication Inc.

Building Excellence and Family

Company Overview

Western Pipe Fabrication Inc. (WPFI) is a contracting company based in Centerville, Utah specializing in excavation, underground utilities, commercial grading, and pipeline work. Since acquiring the company in 1993, WPFI has built a reputation for dependable work, fair dealing, and strong partnerships with general contractors and project teams. With more than three decades of experience, the company continues to focus on delivering reliable construction services backed by skilled crews, modern equipment, and a commitment to quality workmanship.

While the company name reflects our long history supporting pipeline and oil & gas infrastructure projects, WPFI continues to serve that industry while expanding its focus on excavation, underground utilities, and commercial sitework. Our crews have extensive experience performing pipeline repairs, rehabilitation, coating work, erosion mitigation, and integrity support for energy operators. Much of this work takes place in remote or demanding environments where crews must be able to mobilize resources, solve problems quickly in the field, and work safely around critical infrastructure.

Today, WPFI supports a wide range of civil construction and infrastructure work. Our teams regularly perform excavation, underground utilities, grading, and pipeline services across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. We work closely with general contractors and other trades to identify potential issues early, coordinate efficiently on the job site, and keep projects moving safely and on schedule.

With experienced crews, modern equipment, and a strong safety culture, WPFI brings the resources, field experience, and practical problem-solving approach needed to complete projects successfully.

Our Commitment to Safety

Safety, health, and environmental responsibility are at the forefront of how Western Pipe Fabrication operates. Our goal is simple: every person goes home safe and healthy every day while protecting the environment and the communities where we work.

WPFI maintains a strong safety culture built on training, accountability, and continuous improvement. Every employee is trained to the level required for their role, including OSHA 10 for crew members, OSHA 30 for supervisors, and specialized certifications such as 40-hour HAZWOPER where required. We also provide task-specific and high-hazard training to ensure our crews are prepared for the environments and infrastructure projects they work on.

Our teams actively identify and control hazards before work begins and throughout the life of a project. Through job hazard analyses, task safety assessments, and structured planning processes, potential risks are recognized early so work can be completed safely and efficiently.

Environmental responsibility is also a core part of our operations. WPFI works to prevent spills, control dust and sediment, manage waste responsibly, and comply with all environmental regulations and project requirements. Our crews are trained to stop work and respond immediately if environmental concerns arise.

We believe incidents and injuries are preventable through proper planning, training, and accountability. At WPFI, safety is not just a policy—it is a responsibility shared by every member of our team.

About Our Modern Fleet

WPFI operates a modern fleet of heavy equipment to support excavation, utilities, grading, and remote project work. Our equipment includes excavators along with dozers, front-end loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and a wide range of specialized attachments. We prioritize reliable equipment from trusted manufacturers and maintain our fleet carefully to minimize downtime and keep projects moving.

Many of our machines are equipped with Trimble GPS earthworks technology, allowing crews to perform precise grading and excavation while improving efficiency on the job site.
